In a significant leadership development for one of the world's most influential multilateral business organizations, the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI) has formally appointed Sameep Shastri as Chairman of the Chamber for the term from April 2026 to March 2029. The announcement was made during the 14th Annual General Meeting of BRICS CCI held in New Delhi, where the newly elected office bearers took oath at the official Oath Taking Ceremony.
Sameep Shastri was elected unanimously and without opposition, underscoring the strong confidence and trust placed in his leadership and his long-standing contribution to advancing the Chamber's global vision and institutional outreach.
A distinguished entrepreneur, strategist, and public leader, Sameep Shastri has played an instrumental role in BRICS CCI's international engagement, youth leadership initiatives, policy dialogue platforms, and strategic partnerships over several years. He previously served as Vice Chairman of BRICS CCI for six years, during which he was pivotal in expanding the Chamber's presence across international forums and multilateral platforms.
During his tenure as Vice Chairman, he strengthened institutional collaborations in key areas including trade, diplomacy, innovation, culture, and sustainable development.
